This year is jam-packed with amazing events to participate in. If you're planning to take part in any of these events, it's a great idea to book your flights as soon as possible to ensure that you get the best deal. The Cape Town Cycle Tour is a prime example: it's the biggest timed bicycle race in the world!. 16 - 18 January - The Dusi Canoe Marathon. The Dusi Canoe Marathon takes place between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. The best bet is to fly into Durban and then rent a car to get out to the race.

10 - 12 March - The Cape Town Cycle Tour. This is the largest timed bicycle race in the world and takes place in the incredible city of Cape Town. 4 June - The Comrades Marathon. This epic 89km ultramarathon takes place between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Cath an easy flight to Durban from Cape Town or Johannesburg and be fresh and rested for your run.
